We at Styroplast are proud to be a flourishing family business in the heart of Nairobi’s Industrial Area located at Gate 2, Migwani Road, Next to Tetra Pak, Off Enterprise Road. The enterprise began when one person migrated from India to Kenya over 40 years ago, in 1978, looking to start a new life in a new continent. Mr. Manish Shah at the age of 19, moved to Kenya and worked in the textile’s factories at that time. These were one of the prominent businesses within the industrial community during those years. Within a few years Mr. Manish also invited his father Mr. Govindji Shah and his younger brother Mr. Shailesh Shah to join him in Kenya. Together within few years they ventured out and took the bold step of starting a garments retail shop in 1986 within the heart of the Nairobi CBD on Tom Mboya Street. This was their our family business venture in Kenya. Subsequently, the business flourished, and during the next 10 years they expanded into holding significant interests in five shops within the same area.
The next step was to expand into wholesaling of garments and move away from retail business. As a means of diversifying into various other businesses, in 1996 they took the first step into manufacturing. Acquiring a plastics business by the name of Styroplast Ltd, established in 1987. These were the first steps into the plastic industry for the trio. With little knowledge of plastics and a very dedicated attitude, they business is now successfully operational for over 25 years. Their knowledge and experience within the plastics industry has grown tremendously. With this background and experience, the opportunity struck again in 2016 to acquire a plastic water tank manufacturing plant within the Athi River Area. By this time, the 3rd generation, Mr. Manish’s Son had joined the family business as well to grow it further. On the whole, the group is currently focusing their attention within four key markets:Hardware and Packaging Materials with new ventures including hardware metals products and packaging woven sacks.

Delivery network
Using our fleet of vehicles and a network of trusted transporters, we are always trying to provide prompt deliveries to our customers. For instance, our Tanks are efficiently delivered to all major towns within our country. As a result, our effort is to try and amalgamate the extensive range of products into the same deliveryfor the same customer. This allows the customer to receive a big range of products from one supplier and with only one delivery.
